Climbers with at least one prior via ferrata under their belt, looking for something more demanding than the beginner routes near Sarajevo.
OFFGRIDBOSNIASarajevo / BiHA demanding K3 via ferrata along the Sokolov Put ridge on the Romanija plateau above Sarajevo, climbing exposed limestone steps above the forest for sweeping views across the highland. A step up from the beginner routes closer to town, best suited to climbers with some via ferrata experience.
Romanija is the forested plateau northeast of Sarajevo, a landscape of old mountain roads and open highland long used by shepherds and hunters rather than climbers.
Sokolov Put ("Falcon's Path") follows a rocky spur up onto the plateau's edge, staying exposed for longer and holding a steeper line than the beginner via ferratas closer to the city — a proper K3 outing rather than an introduction.

First-time via ferrata participants, or anyone with a serious fear of heights - start on an easier grade first.
Good grip shoes matter more than usual here - several steps are polished smooth by traffic. Take the exposed sections steadily rather than fast.
