Season
May - October

Sarajevo sits in a valley surrounded by Trebevic, Igman, Bjelasnica and the Romanija plateau, putting serious via ferrata routes, forest tracks and old mountain roads within a short drive of the city.

Routes here mix wartime history, dense beech forest and open ridgelines, and most can be run as a half-day or full-day trip without an overnight stay.

Winters bring snow to the higher ground, so the main season for climbing and driving routes runs from spring through autumn.
